Busy busy
And clearly not posting very often!
Things in Manchester are starting to pick up again now that students are back and MUGSS in particular is starting up again. Though what possessed the council to agree to the Labour party Conference on freshers’ moving in weekend I don’t know. Although I don’t know why anyone would want more Labour party people in Manchester anyway! Shutting off half the city centre is not helpful when about 4000 people are moving into the city over two days…
Academic work continues apace. I’ve completed the Music Hall draft ahead of a supervision on Thursday, so will see what happens there. I was quite pleased with it, but what would I know?! I’m having a little bit of a break as I don’t seem to have for quite some time, but when I say break I actually mean working overtime at (paid) work. I also have some volunteering in schools lined up to support my PGCE application, and hopefully will also be doing some actual teaching in a couple of weeks - scary! They’re breaking me in gently, though, hopefully, with something like year eight top set!
