SUNNY

We're really missing you
We're really missing you
Oh, and you've only just gone

Oh, well, you punched and fell
Then you felt embarrassed
My heart goes out to you
So I offered love
And it was not required
Oh, what else can I do ?
What else can I do ?

We're really missing you
We're really missing you
And you've only just gone

So, Sunny, send at least one thoughtful letter
My heart goes out to you
Tell us all how things are so much better
My heart, it left with you
What else can I do ?

Oh, they're not forgiving you
And you're not even wrong

Oh, with your jean belt wrapped around your arm
Oh, Sunny, my heart goes out to you
And with a needle pressed onto tight skin
Sunny, I cry when I see where it's taken you

Aah ...
I'm here, I won't move
Aah ...
I'm here, I won't move
Aah ...
I'm here, I will not move
Aah ...

"Sunny" is also the title of a song by Dusty Springfield, a certified 60's girl singer, and hence the probable inspiration for this titling.

It has been suggested that the song may also refer to the boxer with a drug problem, Sonny Liston.
The video for Sunny available on the My Early Burglary Years CD is prefaced by a short, frankly bizarre, message from Moz :

You are about to watch "Sunny", oh yes !
Our actors are Drew, Liam and Joyce who do their very best indeed
We filmed in Victoria Park, East London, so cold, but so loving.
James O-Brien directed "Sunny", all with heart, yes, heart
Who exactly is my type ? Where exactly is my type ?
It's been a cold English winter, and nothing touches our inner glow
I can't stop thinking about Kirk Douglas. Do you know him ?
Its another year. Will we meet ? Please say yes.
England is not too far (by jet propulsion) please try.
Enjoy life, its all we have.
I'm singing from sing-sing. Love to you ! Morrissey
