About

Requirements: I have tested using the D-Link Bluetooth USB adaptor from Apple, and a Gigabyte USB Bluetooth adapter. If you have a different Bluetooth adapter, I would love to know if you have any success. I have also only been able to test with Bemused on a 7650, as I am poor, and had to even borrow that.

Features:

Note that the inital release will lock up another other RFCOMM bluetooth applications (such as file transfer), this is due to Bemused (honest!) which will try by default to connect to the "last" serial port it detects. As I have not yet come up with a way of guranteeing getting the last serial port from OSX, I have to listen on all of them. Future releases will solve this problem somehow, possibly by providing the RFCOMM channel to the users, which they will then have to set bemused to.

Bemused OSX will now run without iTunes being active, but requires a manual 'Reload Data' to sync its internal playlist structure once iTunes is active, if a re-sync is required. If you send commands such as Play Song X, iTunes will fire up if it is not already active.

Enhancements

Things to be added to Bemused OSX include

Licence

Bemused OSX is being released as freeware. You are granted a non-exclucive licence to use the software, or not use it, as you see fit :) Source code is not being released at this time, as, quite frankly it's a bit of a mess and I would be embarassed to let anyone see :)
