| 29/05/2005 | Version 0.3 is finally out. Works with Tiger, syncs from iTunes data rather than by Apple Script. Supports long playlists and huge libraries. Get it Here. |
| 04/08/2004 | Never say anything is just about ready! So many little problems, bugs and other work commitments and personal issues have just got in the way. However, I've managed to do quite a bit of work this week, and am much happier with the preferences system now. Syncing now uses the iTunes XML file which is *much* quicker than the old AppleScript way, fast enough to do on startup even with a huge 14.10 Gb Music Library. In fact there's so much in this release that I think it might be 0.4, since I'm well on the way to a decent plugin architecture as well. I'll post new screenshots later tonight, and hope for a release by the weekend. |
| 05/04/2004 | 0.3 is just around the corner, I've setup grouping by artist and improved support for non-ascii characters. Should be released tomorrow, 6th April. |
| 12/11/2003 | Apple managed to deliver me a new power adaptor and Panther on the same day! (go Apple). iTooth seems* to work fine under Panther. I have been doing some work, honest(!), and now have hopefully sorted out the unicode issues as they relate to playing songs with strange characters, howevere they won't display correctly on bemused, though there's not much I can do about that unless I learn Symbian/C++. Also coming along is grouping playlists by artist or album. |
| 27/10/2003 | Not been able to do any development work recently due to the AC Adaptor of my iBook failing me, Apple have promised a replacement but none has so far been forthcoming. My copy of Panther is also missing en-route from Apple Ireland so I can't say if iTooth will work with 10.3 or not. If anyone has any luck either way could they let me know. |
| 19/9/2003 | Released version 0.2 - including Sync Info, improved bluetooth integration, and better Unicode handling. |
| 18/9/2003 | The new CVS version now provides feedback on the sync operation. There will be a quick and dirty solution to the Unicode problem, which seems to be that when I send Unicode to the phone, it is possible that a NULL byte is sent. The bemused protocol treats NULL bytes as special, and sending them when we don't want to is not advisable. I can use a lossyCString rather than a UTF8String, which solves the problem of sending NULLs to the phone, but won't let you play the offending tracks directly. A full fix for this will require a bit of re-working and may take a couple of days. |
