A Profile Of Michelle Laybourn

Last Updated: Thursday, 19 February, 1998

When I began these web pages, I decided that it would be best to get some input from the other members of the band - if only to prevent things becoming too biased. Of course the ideal place for them to have their say is in their own profiles, so here, at great expense, are Michelle's replies to my standard questions:-

Name: Michelle Laybourn

D.O.B: 12/07/75

Looks: Cherubic

Marital Status: Depends who's asking

Hobbies: Playing guitar & piano, plants & gardening, cinema. I'm also learning to play the flute.

Position in the band: Honorary Lovestick - generally seen wielding a large red bass guitar.

Life History: Born in Kenya, went to school (actually 7 in all), usual sort of thing - exams, etc. Year out spent being a lab technician in a primary school - generally terrorising small children! Now at Manchester University studying medicine.

Musical Tastes: Really all sorts - from folky stuff like Fairport Convention & The Albion Band to Indie (Pulp, Elastica, etc.) to screaming guitars (Jeff Healey is a favourite). Also classical, jazz/funk and, of course the inimitable John Otway.

Anything Else: Crane fetish, hatred of any keys with flats in (is that as opposed to any flats with keys in them?), major dislike of pigeons, vegetarian (well, almost!).

Mail Me

The Boundary is maintained by Xav, detained by British Rail, retrained by Barbara Woodhouse and grained, planed and stained by a small Do-It-Yourself shop just outside Spalding. It has not yet been craned, though if anybody would like to offer Michelle a trip up a tower crane (what do you mean, you thought she meant the birds!), she can be contacted via me, as:-
