The purpose of this section is to introduce you to the computer hardware that I use through choice. I hope to clarify a few points about the Atari based machines, and maybe help you to see why I still persevere with what is often though to be a dead platform.

For some time now I've been interested in the potential uses for the enhanced joystick ports that can be found on STes, Falcons and Jaguars. After a great deal of research (not to mention time, effort and even money!) I have produced what I think is the definitive guide to using and abusing these ports both in terms of hardware and software. The link below is to an old ASCII version so you can see what all the fuss is about - I'm currently converting the latest version to HTML format for viewing in your web browser.

I'm also doing a series of EJP articles for Atari Computing, which started in issue 3, and will be going on for the forseeable future. These largely cover the areas in the FAQ, but in more detail and with accompanying images, source code and example programs on the associated reader disk. For a beginner to electronics, these are probably a better bet than the full FAQ. Eventually I'll add a page with details about the magazine, but in the meantime, if you want any more information, feel free to mail me.

Finally, I have done some work with a couple of other people on a number of programs, under the umbrella of "Kosmik Phish Productions." At the moment there are a few minor programs available, but I do still hope to write some more, time allowing.
